Built over a century ago, the stone structure sits gently within the landscape, with sun-bleached walls, terracotta roofs, and views that stretch over miles of olive groves and golden plains. The renovation, completed in 2018, retained the farmhouse’s original bones while subtly introducing modern comforts and structural reinforcements.

The home is made entirely from regional stone, clay, and reclaimed wood. Its thick walls naturally insulate against summer heat, while fireplaces in nearly every room keep things warm during winter months. The property is completely off-grid capable — with its own solar system, well water, and backup generator — designed for those seeking connection to nature without sacrificing self-sufficiency.

Intimate Interiors, Big Horizons

Step inside, and the first thing you notice is the stillness. Quiet, thick air held within earth-colored walls. The main living room is long and low, with exposed timber beams, a cast iron stove, and built-in seating along the walls. Arched passageways lead you into a large country kitchen, outfitted with hand-thrown ceramic tile backsplashes, a stone hearth for cooking, and open shelving stocked with copper pans and dried herbs.

Six bedrooms span both floors, including two with private terraces overlooking the vineyard. The master bedroom includes a reading nook, clay-plastered walls, and a minimalist bathroom with a freestanding stone basin and walk-in rain shower. One guest room has been turned into a creative studio with floor-to-ceiling shelving, a large wooden desk, and direct access to the garden.

The dining room is the heart of the home — a place where natural light spills in through antique glass windows and long meals stretch late into the evening. Connected directly to the outdoor pergola, it’s perfect for summer gatherings that begin in the kitchen and end under the stars.

The estate covers nearly 20 acres of wild, rolling land. There’s a small working vineyard, an orchard with fig, almond, and pomegranate trees, and a vegetable garden supported by greywater recycling. The outdoor space also includes a saltwater plunge pool, an outdoor kitchen with a wood-fired grill, and a meditation platform shaded by cork trees.

There’s also a stone outbuilding that has been converted into a guest casita with its own kitchenette and solar panels — ideal for visitors or short-term rentals. Paths lead through tall grasses to secluded seating spots and hilltop lookout points, offering panoramic views and total seclusion.
